We are very proud and excited to launch today the Call for Abstracts for the 58th ERSA Congress in Cork, Ireland. The Congress will take place from August 28 to 31, 2018 in University College Cork.
The theme of the Congress is 'Places for People: Innovative, Inclusive, and Liveable Regions'.
The response to our Call for Special Session Proposals was very successful! We offer a selection of 50 special session topics, covering critical issues for today's society and the broad range of regional science. These sessions will address Migration, Brexit, Resilient Cities, Borders, Wellbeing, Sustainability, and many other topics. We are confident that these sessions will once again provide opportunities to deepen the impact of our research on society. We also propose a selection of 24 general themes, in which there is potential for refereed sessions, Young Scientists sessions and ordinary sessions. These will contribute to another Congress of high academic quality.
Of course, in Ireland we know how to get the balance right
between work and fun. Cork is a beautiful and friendly part of the world and we hope you can join us to experience the unique experience that Ireland offers.
We look forward to your contribution and hope, with your help, to create a fantastic programme. cork.ersa.org
