5th Winter Seminar of Regional Science - Call for Abstracts

We have the pleasure of inviting you to the 5th Winter Seminar of Regional Science that will traditionally take place in the mountain resort of High Tatras on 11th – 14th March 2015.

The main objective of the annual Winter Seminar is to bring creative academic debate on actual issues of regional science and practice of regional policy by an attractive environment and relaxed atmosphere.

Accepted articles will be published in the conference proceedings "5th Winter Seminar of Regional Science 2015” with ISBN. Selected papers will be invited to publish in the peer reviewed journal Region Direct in 2015.

We welcome papers from following themes, but also those that cut across suggested topics:

•          Agglomeration and Industrial Clusters

•          Creative Industries, Creative Cities and Regions

•          Evolutionary Economic Geography

•          Entrepreneurship and Innovation

•          European Cohesion Policy

•          Globalization and Regional Development

•          Local and Regional Strategies and Policies

•          Regional Labor Market and Migration

•          Urban Development and Urban Change.

Important Dates:

Abstract submission deadline:                       December 31, 2014

Paper submission deadline:                January 31, 2015

Participation fee payment deadline:  January 31, 2015

Winter Seminar:                                 March 11 - 15, 2015

The participation fee is 85 EUR for RSAI members and 105 EUR for non-RSAI members. The participations fee includes the conference proceedings, 1x lunch, 2x dinner, closing reception with dinner on Friday and coffee breaks.
