GWU - Sustainable Urban Planning

Colleagues -

I write to draw your attention to the Sustainable Urban Planning Program at the George Washington University:

http://cps.gwu.edu/sustainable-urban-planning

We have just completed our fourth year of operation - and are still accepting applications for our fifth year cohort.

Among other things, the Sustainable Urban Planning Program: offers concentrations in climate change management and policy and sustainable landscape design; is highly analytical, with a strong emphasis on research design and geospatial and econometric methods; has a global orientation; includes an independent student government, chartered through GWU; and offers the opportunity to study abroad in Seoul, Korea.

The core values of the program are active learning, advocacy, democracy, diversity, research, and world engagement. Our graduates have obtained positions in leading think tanks; public and private planning departments; international development organizations, including the World Bank; entry into doctoral programs; and more. We are very proud of their accomplishments!

Please circulate this message within your organization and, if you have students who may be interested, encourage them contact me directly.

Cheers,

John I. Carruthers, Ph.D.
