Outre les sessions thématiques récurrentes, vous avez la possibilité de soumettre une communication dans une des onze sessions spéciales qui a été retenue, à ce jour, après une évaluation faite par le comité scientifique du colloque. Ainsi, comme vous pouvez le voir la procédure d’appel à la tenue de session spéciale a été fructueuse.

Welcome! Spatial Accuracy 2014 is the latest in an academic conference series held every two years since 1994 under the auspices of the International Spatial Accuracy Research Association (ISARA). The symposium attracts participants from all over the world, in a diverse range of academic and professional fields, including geography, statistics, and the environmental sciences. More information about the history of this series, including papers presented at previous symposia, is available at the main Spatial Accuracy website.

This is an era boasting unmatched availability of spatial data, ever-expanding computational capacity, and rapid development of complex environmental systems models. On the other hand, the challenges facing environmental science and natural resource management have never been more pressing. Spatial Accuracy 2014 aims to address a broad set of multidisciplinary issues related to a fundamental challenge: the mismatches between geographic reality and the data and models used to characterize that reality.

Communications on cutting edge basic research, as well as their creative and novel applications within this problem domain, are welcomed. Extended abstracts (due January 8, 2014) will be reviewed by the scientific committee; accepted abstracts will be revised as short papers, published in conference proceedings, and presented in oral or poster sessions at the symposium. In addition, the conference also includes workshops on new methods and applications. Post-conference publication options include special issues for two journals.

The Regional Science Association International (RSAI) invites regional scientists, policy makers and researchers of related disciplines to participate in the 10^th World Congress. The Congress will be hosted by the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University, Bangkok. It will be held at the Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, May 26-30, 2014 on the theme of Socioeconomic Integration and Transformation: Reshaping Local, Regional, and Global Spaces.
