1st International Conference on Development, Societies &Territories, DeST2018_Call for abstracts

The Organising Committee of the 1st International Conference on Development, Societies & Territories, DeST2018, invites the submission of abstracts for oral communication and paper submission. We would be extremely grateful if you could spread the word among members of your institution/association/network.

The submission is open on the webpage ofDeST2018 (http://dst2018.utad.pt/), where you can consult the list of topics, as well as other relevant information about the event. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31st March 2018. Abstract should have a minimum of 350 words and not exceed 500 words

The DeST2018will be held on May 11 at the School of Hotel & Tourism Management (EHTL) in the historic city of Lamego, a UNESCO world heritage site close to the Douro Valley in the North of Portugal. It is jointly organised by the Centre for Transdisciplinary Development Studies (CETRAD) and the Department of Economics, Sociology & Management (DESG) of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), with the support of the Iberian R&D unit network which anchor the PhD programme in Development, Societies & Territories (DeST).

The main topic of the DeST2018 conference is the Territorial Dynamics and Inequality: the contribution of inter and transdisciplinary approaches with the aim of stimulating an interdisciplinary debate, with a transdisciplinary view by putting together the research community and the socio-territorial development practitioners, including the local development actors, policy-makers, NGOs, businesses, communities and the representatives of civil society.
